During a recent conversation with CNN, Neymar made it clear that he has set his sights on being part of the tournament. He spoke with determination, saying that he is ready to give his all to help Brazil compete for the trophy.
He said, “Yes, I definitely want to be part of it. I’m fully committed to doing all that’s required to win something big with Brazil. I believe in the team, and I’m looking forward to being involved.”
Neymar is currently with Al-Hilal, while Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, his former Barcelona teammates, are both playing in the United States for Inter Miami. During the same interview, Neymar also addressed the idea of joining forces with them again.
Talks Around a Return to Brazil
There have been growing rumors suggesting that Neymar is working on an early exit from his contract with Al-Hilal, which is due to run until mid-2025. He is reportedly interested in a return to Santos, the club where he began his career.
Reports indicate that Santos might confirm Neymar’s homecoming once the current Brazilian Serie B season wraps up.
According to current FIFA regulations, Neymar would be allowed to enter into a pre-contract agreement with Santos starting from January 1, 2025. This would open the door for a full transfer during the summer transfer window.
