It was hard to miss the sea of Niners fans scattered throughout the stands in Pittsburgh, a sight that has become common across the country.
Nick Bosa, the star pass rusher, is confident that the team’s fans will travel to Los Angeles in force, helping to take over SoFi Stadium ahead of their divisional matchup with the Rams (via 95.7 The Game).
According to Bosa, the 49ers boast the best traveling fanbase in the league, and although the exact numbers aren’t available, it’s clear they rank among the top three in that regard.
As one of the most popular franchises in the league, the 49ers have a massive following, and considering the Rams’ ongoing struggles with fan attendance, it wouldn’t be surprising if the home stadium felt more like an away game for Los Angeles.
Niners games in Los Angeles are often filled with Bay Area fans, and although the Rams have made efforts to curb this, there’s little they can do to stop the Niners’ faithful from showing up. Will the 49ers triumph in both the stands and on the field? Time will tell.
