Hailey Bieber has once again spoken about her challenges with reproductive health. The 28-year-old model and entrepreneur took to her Instagram Story on April 21 to share that she’s currently dealing with two ovarian cysts.
This health update comes about eight months after she gave birth to her first child, a son named Jack, with her husband and pop artist, Justin Bieber.

On her Story, Bieber posted a picture of herself lying down on a couch and wrote, “Currently have 2 ovarian cysts. If you deal with ovarian cysts, I’m right there with ya!”
She did not include an official diagnosis or detailed explanation in the post. According to Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop either on or within an ovary. Although most of them cause no harm and disappear on their own, some can burst and lead to serious medical issues.
Hailey Shared Previous Experience With Cyst Size
Back in November 2022, Bieber mentioned on her Instagram Story that she once had a cyst as large as an apple on one of her ovaries. For comparison, Mayo Clinic states that a healthy ovary is about the size and shape of an almond.
She clarified in that older post that she had never been diagnosed with endometriosis or polycystic ovary syndrome, which are conditions linked to reproductive health, but she had developed ovarian cysts more than once. She described the experience as unpleasant each time.
Other Celebrities Have Shared Their Stories Too
Bieber is not alone in talking publicly about ovarian health issues. In May 2024, pop star Bebe Rexha opened up on TikTok about having to receive urgent medical care after one of her cysts burst. Rexha lives with polycystic ovary syndrome, which can lead to such health concerns.
Previous Health Scare From 2022 Still Lingers
Apart from ovarian health, Bieber faced a different health emergency in March 2022 when she experienced what she called a “mini stroke.”
Doctors later diagnosed it as a transient ischemic attack, and she had to go through a medical procedure afterward to seal a small hole in her heart. She described that incident as the most terrifying moment of her life.
