Cristiano Ronaldo recently featured on El Chiringuito, where he gave a wide-ranging interview that covered his views on his career, personal records, and football history. Daily Sports pulled out the major highlights from that conversation.
During the discussion, Ronaldo confidently declared once again that he views himself as the best footballer ever. He explained that whether he ends with 920 or 925 goals makes no difference to how he sees his legacy. In his words, the statistics speak for themselves.

He stressed that he doesn’t need to reach 1000 goals to feel complete. While that would be welcome, he already sees his career as complete without it.
Ronaldo added that calling him anything less than a fully developed player is simply false. He acknowledged that people may choose to admire Pelé, Messi, or Maradona, and made it clear he respects those opinions.
Poor Coaching Experiences Over the Years
Ronaldo also opened up about the quality of managers he worked under. He pointed out that not all of them had a strong understanding of football. Some, he said, were completely lost when it came to coaching and lacked the necessary insight for the job.
He went on to reveal that before joining Manchester United, he had the chance to play for Barcelona. According to him, the Spanish club showed interest while he was still at Sporting. However, they did not follow up with a clear offer, and shortly after, Manchester United came forward with real intent.
Recent Form on the Pitch
It’s worth noting that Ronaldo just scored twice in an AFC Champions League game against Al-Wasl. That performance brought his scoring streak to four games in a row, showing that he remains highly effective even at this stage of his career.
