Rumors circulated that Kanye West and Bianca Censori were escorted out of the 2025 Grammys due to a lack of invitation, but the truth behind their brief appearance tells a different story.
E! News has confirmed that the rapper and his wife of two years were not removed from the ceremony, which took place on February 2 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Although their time at the event was short-lived, Kanye, 47, and Bianca, 30, made a statement on the red carpet before swiftly departing in their car. Those interested can check out photos of the night’s celebrity arrivals.
Bianca’s Bold Fashion Choice
Their entrance caused a stir, particularly due to Bianca’s bold fashion choice—she wore a sheer mini dress without anything underneath. Kanye later took to Instagram to highlight her look, sharing a photo of her outfit with the caption, “Custom Courture Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever. My best friend. My wife.”
Ye opted for a more understated outfit, donning a black T-shirt and matching pants, but his actions on social media drew just as much attention. In a surprising move, he adjusted his Instagram activity to follow only one person—Taylor Swift—just before the awards began.
Speculation Around Kanye and Taylor Swift
This unexpected gesture fueled speculation that Kanye was reigniting tensions with Taylor, who had received six nominations this year.
She was in contention for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, as well as Pop Album of the Year, Best Music Video, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Gracie Abrams, “us.”
Kanye also had a reason to celebrate, as “Carnival,” a track by his ¥$ supergroup featuring Ty Dolla Sign, was up for Best Rap Song.
Hours before the ceremony, he expressed gratitude on Instagram by posting, “Thank you to the Grammies for nominating Carnival.” The last time Kanye attended the Grammys was nearly a decade ago, in 2015, when he arrived with his then-wife, Kim Kardashian.
That year, he received nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Bound 2” and took the stage alongside Rihanna and Paul McCartney to perform “FourFiveSeconds.”
