The Baltimore Ravens are currently performing at an outstanding level. Under the guidance of John Harbaugh, the team has consistently discovered methods to dominate their competition and secure victories against all opponents.
Despite a major offensive problem with the loss of Mark Andrews, offensive coordinator Todd Monken has effectively maintained the team’s positive momentum.
This level of efficiency has led NFL icon Michael Irvin to assert that the Ravens possess the potential to unseat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.
On a recent episode of “Undisputed,” Irvin highlighted the increased utilization of rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers now that Andrews is out for the season.
He referred to Flowers as “the man in the middle,” noting his exceptional talent that enables him to create an impact whenever he has the ball.
Flowers certainly proved his value during the Ravens’ victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night, catching five passes on eight targets for 25 yards and scoring one touchdown, along with another touchdown on a 37-yard rush.
The rookie from Boston College has demonstrated his explosiveness and ability to make plays, dispelling any concerns regarding his size.
With a strong defense, effective running game, and Lamar Jackson’s improved performance in the pocket, Irvin believes the Ravens have all the necessary elements to challenge the Chiefs for the AFC title.
It’s hard to argue with his assessment, especially considering their commanding performance this season, which has resulted in the first nine-win record in the conference.
