So, when is the NECO GCE Exam?
This is the exam candidates take in their final secondary school year. The SSCE comes in two forms: the Internal SSCE for final-year senior secondary students and the External SSCE for private candidates outside the formal school system.
Per the 2023 NECO GCE Timetable, the exam starts on November 20 and ends on December 20, 2023.

Please Take Note
- Confirm the venues for Oral French, Arabic, and Stenography I & IV from the NECO State Office where you’ll take the exam.
- Bring your computer/laptop for Stenography papers I &IV.
- Nigerian languages (Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba) include Literature.
- Blind candidates should take the examination in their respective NECO State Offices using the provided Braille Sheets.
- Albinos and blind candidates are granted an extra 30 minutes for all papers.
- Scientific calculators are permitted; programmable calculators are not.
- No GSM devices are allowed in the examination hall.
- For Technical Drawing I and IV, bring your drawing instruments and materials.
