In the NFL, playoff season signifies what many refer to as football weather, which encompasses much more than just freezing temperatures.
This weekend, all four divisional round games will take place in cities known for their harsh winters; however, one matchup will feature particularly adverse weather conditions.

On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field, and snow is expected to fall in the Delaware Valley area, as reported by Dov Kleiman.
Those familiar with the winters of Pennsylvania or South Jersey can attest to their severity, yet they often create perfect conditions for football.
If snow indeed falls during Sunday’s game, it will likely benefit the Eagles, not only because they are accustomed to such conditions but also due to the standout performance of running back Saquon Barkley, who is having an exceptional season.
This year, he has joined an elite group of players who have rushed for 2,000 yards, and in last Sunday’s wild-card victory against the Green Bay Packers, he accumulated 119 rushing yards.
Although the Rams feature a talented running back in Kyren Williams, who tallied 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns during the regular season, he does not match Barkley’s caliber.
As the Eagles gain momentum as dark horse contenders for the Super Bowl, the anticipated snowy weather could play to their advantage, especially given their defense, which ranks second in points allowed and first in total yards surrendered, possibly propelling them to the NFC Championship Game.
