Overcoming numerous injuries to key players, the Cleveland Browns became one of the most inspiring stories of the 2023 NFL season, securing a playoff spot despite the odds.
Although the team entered the season with high hopes of making a Super Bowl run and had the talent to do so, injuries to stars like Nick Chubb and Deshaun Watson severely impacted their chances.
Despite these problems, Cleveland found a way to rally behind veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, who guided them to some exciting victories down the stretch.
At 39, Flacco has proven he still has plenty of ability left, making him a valuable backup option for many teams. While a return to the Browns remains a possibility, it’s also likely that another team could swoop in to sign the veteran quarterback.
While Flacco will await the start of free agency to finalize his next move, his younger brother Tom has already landed with a new UFL team, as reported by Benjamin Allbright. “We have a Flacco signing. Tom Flacco (Joe’s younger brother) is signing in San Antonio with the new UFL,” Allbright tweeted.
Tom most recently played for the Houston Roughnecks in the XFL and has also spent time in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Ottawa Redblacks. Like Joe, Tom is a quarterback and will join the San Antonio Brahmas in the newly formed UFL.
Throughout his college career, Tom played for multiple schools, including Western Michigan, Rutgers, and Towson. With football running deep in the Flacco family, Joe will have the chance to watch his brother play in a professional league once again.
However, the real intrigue lies in where Joe Flacco will end up when free agency kicks off.
