Requirements

- Nigerian citizenship by birth is mandatory.

- Must not be a user or dependent on any illicit substance or recreational drug.
Physical Requirements

- Must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of not more than 30 (Not obese)

- No respiratory ailments or life-threatening illnesses that can cause harm to the cadet and others during training

Note: The EFCC will initiate an intensive background investigation on candidates that candidate must pass before they can join the agency.
The investigation includes;
- Test for illegal drugs
- Credit and records checks
- Interviews with former and current colleagues, teachers, business associates, neighbors, friends, etc.
The investigation is done immediately after the selected candidate passes the interview process and before a conditional offer of employment letter is given to any candidate.
